Annie Murphy (n e Anne Frances Murphy) was born on December 19 in 1986. She is Canadian and has been working in the film industry on many different projects. The most famous of them was Alexis Rose on the CBC television sitcom, Schitt's Creek that premiered in 2015. It ended in 2020. Critics lauded her for the role she played and presented her with the Primetime Emmy Award. She was born in Ottawa Ontario Canada. Her parents worked together as instructors. She enrolled at Elmwood School in Ottawa where she performed in stage productions. Her next step was to enroll at Concordia University and pursue a theatre performance degree. Then, she started taking acting classes at Canadian Film Centre Actor's Conservatory. Then she relocated into Los Angeles at the age of 22, where she began acting as a profession. Annie Murphy made her acting debut in 2007 with the television thriller Lethal Obsession. She went on to perform minor roles and even more in several films. Some of the films were very successful, like Story of Jen in 2008 Lick that came out in 2010, or the other big hit A Windigo Tale.
