Allison Stokke and Alyce Caron

Allison Stokke has been a pole vaulter for nearly 20 years. She was born on the 22nd March 1989 in Newport Beach, California. The photo she took at her 17th birthday track meet 2007 became viral and it made her into the world's most famous Pole Vaulter. Instagram and Twitter are now her most popular social media sites. Stokke has built a huge social following on Instagram and Twitter. Los Angeles Times reported, along with other publications it claimed that Stokke has never sought such public attention. Brett Hutchins and David Rowe in their book Technology Power and Culture in the Network Society linked Stokke in the context of American soccer player Alex Morgan and Hope Solo, female athletes who claim to have been sexually abused and had their public images presented in a manner that they were unable to emphasize their sports successes. Concerning Stokke and her case, they pointed out that the majority of posts on social media included insulting content. They also blamed the sexualisation of women. Other women drew a parallel with the celebrations of Brandi's sports bra after she won the FIFA Women's World Cup in 1999. The women claimed that debates about appearance were a distraction from sporting events specifically for female athletes. Photos of Stokke performing during New York early 2007, were uploaded to the internet by an Californian journalist working for a track and field website. In May the image was then re-posted on With Leather a sports blog with a large male fanbase commenting on the beauty of the 17-year-old Stokke under the heading Pole Vaulting is Sexy Barely legal. Matt Ufford was threatened by the photographer with legal action if it did not take down the image. The article, however attracted a lot of media attention and was then shared on dozens of websites. Stokke had a site dedicated to her with images of her at the pole vault. When these images spread across social media, they were viewed by thousands. Alyce Caron..............Alyce Caron was born in Houston in the United States in February 1957. Caron wanted to complete her Florida high school. In 1974, she completed her high school diploma and chose to take the opposite route and complete an internship. Alyce has a sibling who is a highly respected teacher. Her family provides financial support to her. Alyce is a part of her family living in Texas as her father is employed by The U.S. Army. The Alyce family celebrated their birthday on the 92nd of his birth three years earlier. Alyce used social media to post an amazing photo of her daughter, and to recognize the contributions her father's contribution to his country through the U.S. Army. Her daughter, who is more interested in education than her father and has won the national merit award at the University of Michigan in 2020, shows an increased enthusiasm for schools.
